Geocache Description:

A small lock & lock container, a few feet from a fantastic piece of carving. Accessible by all, in a small public garden along St Clare street in Penzance.

Whilst visiting a relative at West Cornwall Hospital, at first we thought this was just a dead tree. On closer inspection it turned out to be a most fabulous piece of carving. This was carved in 2010 by Peter Martin - a self taught sculpter - who has also carved the 2m high wooden Pineapple at the main entrance to the Eden Project. See www.artcarvers.co.uk Every evening we visited we found something new on the tree that we hadnt noticed before. I dont know how many carvings are on this tree but there must be at least 30. Have a count up and log how many different things you can see. There is some free on-street parking 100m up the hill if you're lucky. Just had to put a cache there. Please hide the container well when replacing.
