42nd Street, in New York it forms one side of Times Square. The movie was nominated for Best Picture in 1934. In Minnesota, it's the beautiful crazy quilt of the heartland. The cache is an all-year Park & Grab.
The movie "42nd Street" starred Ruby Keeler and Dick Powell. Ginger Rogers sang "Shuffle Off to Buffalo." Busby Berkeley choreographed for the first time those wonderful musical numbers he became so famous for. The movie set the standard for the musicals that entertained America throughout the 1930s.
Here is an excerpt of the lyrics from the song "42nd Street":
In the heart of little old New York,
You'll find a thoroughfare.
It's the part of little old New York
That runs into Times Square.
A crazy quilt that "Wall Street Jack" built,
If you've got a little time to spare,
I want to take you there.

Hear the beat of dancing feet,
It's the song I love the melody of,
Forty-Second Street.
