Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the GOLD COAST POWER TRAIL.

A joint initiative by a group of local Gold Coast cachers.

Each cache is themed on a critter indigenous to the Gold Coast.

Most of the containers are small golden cache tubes with a logbook only and should be easy to find.

However, each participating cacher has one hide which may be more difficult!

This cache is named after a native Gold Coast Mammal called the "Swamp Wallaby".

The Swamp Wallaby (Wallabia bicolor) is a small macropod marsupial of eastern Australia.

This wallaby is also commonly known as the Black Wallaby, with other names including Black-tailed Wallaby, Fern Wallaby, Black Pademelon, Stinker (in Queensland), and Black Stinker (in New South Wales). The Swamp Wallaby is currently the only living member of the genus Wallabia.

You may have to venture into the Gold Coast Hinterland to see one of these fellows or possibly near Lake Coombabah.
