System of Equations Mystery Cache

The System of Equations cache is located on the campus of Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I have not found any hours listed on-line or posted on campus but it may be best to keep it to daylight and early evening hours. Early evening hours might be good as traffic should be less. The easiest entrance would be from Orchard Lake Road.

You are expected to physically sign the log sheet in order to log your find on-line.

It is time to go to school and algebra class, and maybe that beginning of school eye test. The cache is not at the coordinates listed. The location listed is the starting point for this visual puzzle. To solve the puzzle you need to solve this system of equations in three variables for X.

[Note: the equations have been updated to be more proper alegbra and not loose "puzzle" math.]
X + 3Y + Z = 6C
X - Y - Z = 8C
X - 5Y - Z = 12C

The first locations I considered for the cache were close by walking, but unsuitable. I ended up wandering farther and farther away. The terrain rating (adjusted after publishing) is not for the starting point or the final location but reflects the travel in between if you walk instead of drive. The cache is a homemade micro. Please bring your own pen or pencil. The cache should be available in winter.
