As an industry it seems Podunk and trivial, but you may be
surprised to know that Vista’s leading commercial industry is
the portable spa market (both in number of employees and square
footage). A spa is also known as a “hot tub” but never
a “Jacuzzi” unless it’s made by Jacuzzi in Chino,
CA. While standing at GZ, you will be located within one half mile
from three of the world’s top 6 manufacturers, they total up
to 680,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing, distribution, and
administrative space. Additionally they are the dominant customers
of various other component manufacturers located within
Vista’s business park, from plastic injection molders and
sheet metal formers to CNC milling businesses. In addition to
serving a combined dealer network of over 2000 North American
dealers, they compete against each other in all 50 United States,
Canada, all over Europe, and the South Pacific, including dealers
in such odd places as Shanghai, Zagreb, Moscow, and Ethiopia to
name a few.
Nearby, in October 2011, one of these hot tub factories
celebrated their one-millionth spa rolling off their assembly
line.
