Geocache Description:

We placed this cache deliberately during the first weekend of February. That weekend is always busy on the Vaal, when nearby Deneysville hosts the Round the Island Yacht Race.

Sailors from all over South Africa converge on the Vaal Dam to compete in a race recognised by Guinness World Records for the "Most yachts in an inland race". Interestingly, it was exactly 5 years after this record was achieved that this cache was placed.

It is an easy park and grab, from a spot where you can see the dam and the island. Remember to bring something to write on the logsheet with.
