This is our first hide. We have placed some fun trinkets in the cache as well as a couple of travel bugs to get started.
The cache is located at the final coordinates. Make sure you have these coordinates before you drive in further to summer parking.
This cache is located in McCarthy Beach State Park with permission from MNDNR. You will need a state park permit to park. It is located a few feet from the Pickerel Lake Hiking trail. You are asked to please stay on the designated trails. During the summer, you may park near the first coordinates for a longer hike (1.8 mi round trip) or park at the Hiking Club parking for a shorter hike (.4 mi round trip). Make sure you have the second set of coordinates before going to the summer parking place. Hiking Club parking is unavailable in the winter. In the winter, you can cross country ski in to the cache.
