The cache can be found when you are sun smart. The pohutukawa tree that is nearby, provides great shade from the sun, while you watch your children exploring the rock pools or having a swim.
Tapeka Point is a major landmark consisting a large hill commanding views from Paihia and Waitangi across the Bay of Islands. The Tapeka Point community is accessed via Tapeka Road 2km from central Russell. This cache is located on the rocky side of Tapeka Point. Good fishing from the rocks and lots of pools to explore.
