Lilly Mine Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Two Desert Pirates: The Mountain View Fire swept through the area and reportedly destroyed the mine. As such, I am archiving this geocache.

Geocache Description:

The Lilly mine consists of several mine entrances. Approaching from the North, what appears to be a main entrance leads far into the mountain. Further on around the hill at the same elevation are two additional entrances, but these are of a more vertical nature. As you walk South along the mid slope road leading to the wooden structure used for loading ore, there are two additional mine starts, neither one of which leads anywhere. The cache is quite near one of these dead end starts.

Coming up from Eastside Lane, only take the 049 road up the wash if you are walking or riding ATVs. Otherwise, stay on 101 until a spur turns South. The 101 continues on to Indian Flat. Taking the spur, go south and look for a narrow road, of sorts, that heads off to the West. If you miss it and end up in the bottom of the wash, turn around and you'll see the Lilly Mine up on the hill.
