Princess road
Senhime was born as a daughter of Tokugawa Hidetada who was the second syogun of Edo shogunate. Her first husband was Toyotomi Hideyori. They lived in the Osaka castle. However, her grandfather Tokugawa Ieyasu attacked the Osaka castle in 1615. She had been rescued from the castle before it fell although her husband was killed. In 1616, she married to Honda Tadatoki. They moved to Himeji and stayed there about 10 years.
Senhime is a famous princess in Himeji city. She is a leader of the historical parade of the Castle festival, Oshiro-matsuri in Japanese, which is a festival to be held in August every year. This cache is placed under a bridge to a path named "Senhime no Komichi".

千姫の小径
千姫の父は徳川秀忠、母は2011年のNHK大河ドラマの主人公の江です。千姫の最初の夫は豊臣秀頼でした。祖父の徳川家康に攻められ大阪城は落城しますが、千姫は救出され、その後本多忠刻に嫁ぎ姫路に移り住みます。男山には千姫が建立した神社があります。また、姫路城内には西ノ丸の千姫がいた部屋に侍女と戯れる千姫像があります。
千姫は姫路では有名な人物です。八月のお城祭りには歴代城主のパレードを美しい千姫が引率します。キャッシュは千姫の小径にかかる橋の下に設置させていただきました。この小径には千姫の像もあります。
