Subida al monte Jata.
Jata es un monte de Vizcaya, País Vasco (España), de 600m de altitud situado entre los municipios de Bakio, Munguía y Maruri-Jatabe.
Precisamente da su nombre a este último ya que Jatabe significa, en euskera, "en la parte baja del Jata".
Descripción
Con sus 600 m de altura, su cima es una excelente atalaya para observar el paisaje circundante. El alto está ocupado por un repetidor de televisión.
Ascensos:
1: Subida a Jata por la ladera este
Se accede por la carretera entre Munguía y Bakio, o bien partiendo del barrio de Larrauri (Munguía), desde donde se asciende hacia el robledal y ermita románica de San Miguel de Zumetxaga, del siglo XII ( 270 m ), un paraje acondicionado para el picnic. Waypoint ( N 043º 23,919' W 002º 50,340' ). La subida requiere una hora larga.
2: Subida a Jata por la ladera oeste
Se accede desde el barrio de Marutxaga ( 202 m ) en el alto de la carretera que une Armintza (Lemóniz) con Munguía, y que se llama Alto de Txatximinta ( 190 m ).
3: Subida a Jata por la ladera norte
La vertiente norte se halla surcada de pistas que permiten subir al monte alcanzando el collado ( 500 m ) que la separa de la antecima norte. Waypoint (N 043º 25,063' W 002º 50,340' ). Una pista sube hasta este lugar y tiene su inicio en la carretera entre Bakio y Armintza.

With its 600 m high, its top is an excellent vantage point to observe the surrounding landscape. The top is occupied by a television repeater.
Climbing:
1: Jata Rise to the eastern slope
Access is via the road between Munguia and Bakio or part of the neighborhood of Larrauri (Munguia), where it rises to the oak and Romanesque hermitage of San Miguel de Zumetxaga, the twelfth century (270 m), a place suitable for the picnic. Waypoint (N 043 º 23.919 'W 002 º 50.340'). The climb requires an hour long.
2: Rise to the west side Jata
Access from the neighborhood Marutxaga (202 m) at the top of the road between Armintza (Lemóniz) with Munguia, and is called Txatximinta Alto (190 m).
3: Rise to the northern slope Jata
The north side is laced with clues that climb the mountain to reach the pass (500 m) that separates the northern antecima. Waypoint (N 043 º 25.063 'W 002 º 50.340'). A clue to this place up and got her start on the road between Bakio and Armintza.
