Another in a series of caches located on the Trent & Mersey canal. Parking is available at Barton Turns Locks (past Barton Marina).
This is a replacement for a previously lost cache Peanuts Nibble. This is a new location as the previous one became a collection of rubbish from the nearby road.
The cache is accessible from the canal footpath, with parking located nearby at the Barton Turns locks. The other caches in this series are all located along the towpath.
The area is very popular with fishermen and of course there are plenty of canal boats especially in the summer months.
The container is small and suitable for small swaps only. The GPS signal appears to be poor around the cache area, so note that you DO NOT need to cross the canal, but remain on the tow path.
