Visit the sad remains of a lovely spot on Hwy 243.
Bay Tree Springs was for many years a favorite stop up and down the hill, with a beautiful sign and clear running water.
In 2009 someone at the Forest Service, fearing liability, led an effort to shut down the spring. The pipe was sealed, the fountain demolished, and the sign removed.
Small camo-ed bottle with log and some goodies. Please re-hide with care, this is a pretty visible area even now.
