The Tuscarora Trail is challenging, the SCENERY IS MAGNIFICENT and
it's a beautiful natural setting. Several caches have been placed
along this trail in the Berkeley and Morgan County area.
Head South past the red painted gate along the BLUE blazed
Tuscarora Trail. Parking should position you to easily hike the
Tuscarora Trail North towards Devil’s Nose or South towards
Shockey’s Knob. Did I say easy? Well, that all depends.
Originally named Seed Pod 1, this cache was intended for others to
place after finding the Manitoba cache. Apparently my group of
Merry Men needed it more. The cache is placed at a split in the
trail. The TT continues to the left (facing South). The other trail
will run you across Meadow Branch Creek and northerly up to the
Jeep Trail traversing Sleepy Creek Mountain.
If you plan to camp anywhere past here please take note. This is
your last chance to collect water until descending the ridge South
of Shockey’s Knob Shelter, about 10 miles away.
This is an easy cache. Please replace exactly as found to prevent
being muggled.
