To get to this cache, walk to the corner of the field. There is a gap in the barbed wire which takes you onto a public footpath that skirts the next field. Come out of the trees into the field and walk right, with the hedge row to your right, skirting the field until you come to the gate and the stile.
If you have been following the walk this far, you have completed the part of the ring around the fields, and are now about to cross the Old Wells Road again.
The road runs from Wells to Frome. This road passes through Horrington, Chantry and Whatley before finally coming out in Frome. There is now a much larger road that runs between them, through Shepton Mallet, the A361/A371. But this one is much more picturesque.
Interestingly, at around the half way point, the road changes name, and becomes the Old Frome Road as you get closer to Wells! Obviously, if you are coming from Frome you are going to Wells, but if you are coming from Wells you are going to Frome. Perhaps confusing but it makes some sense.
The cache is a clip lock box with space for trades and trackable items. Please return it as found, making sure it is re-hidden out of sight.
I'm currently looking for people who might be able to help look after my caches whilst I'm away undertaking a doctorate. If you think you might be able to help, please do let me know by contacting me at geocachingjohn@googlemail.com (If you can't help maintain them long term, it would be wonderful if you could take along some spare logs/pencils/etc. to keep these caches alive, just in case)
