This is a tough, rocky road with no winter maitenance, so it is
recommended to use a high profile vehicle, or enjoy the walk from
the parking area near the ball fields.
It is possible that you may run into various wildlife, including
deer, bear, beaver, grouse, heron, turkey, and other creatures that
I have enjoyed over the years.
If you can imagine, years ago, there used to be a one- room
schoolhouse and a number of farms along this road. There are
visible foundations off this road, but this land is now
unfortunately private, so please consider this before you wander
too far off the road to look for these old puzzle peices of the
past.
When you find this cache, be careful, there is a slight drop-off
into a stream. This stream is a runnoff from Bear Swamp which
ultimately flows into Lake Scranton. Also, please place the cache
in its original hiding place and make sure the container itself is
watertight. Make sure to properly replace its natural camo. This
should be a pretty easy cache. The terrain is rated as a 2.5
because of the difficult road. I hope you enjoy this area as much a
I do.
