This Cache is located near the old Southern Railroad Train Station on Main Street. The station was built in the 1890s by the Virginia Midland Railroad, which was part of the Southern Railway System. In the early 20th Century as many as six passenger trains a day came into the Front Royal station. The towns visitor center is part of the old train station. Nearby is Chester Street, the oldest road in Warren County, and Main Street. The oldest church, Williams Chapel, and the oldest home, Balthis House, are along Chester Street. Main Street, the second oldest street in Front Royal, contains the downtown shopping area. This area was revitalized in the 1980s to reflect a Victorian village with its tree lined avenue, town clock, and Gazebo. The remainder of the Historic District includes residential areas that were developed in the late 19th Century. It should also be noted that there are some incredible eateries nearby such as the Main Street Mill. The cache itself is small tubular and is not hidden in the places where you may think it is. BEWARE OF MUGGLES as this is a very popular spot, however with some stealth it can be accomplished.
