Geocache Description:

A nice walk through the park will get you to this south Moorhead cache. The park is used for many things by many people and you may have to wait a while or even come back some other time if football or soccer practice is going on. The parking lot is listed below. The park also has four sidewalks that connect to streets and avenues.

In 2000 fourth-grade students at Anderson Elementary school in Mahtomedi combined a science lesson and a civics lesson, the result was the Monarch (Danaus plexippus) being named the Minnesota State Butterfly.

Most adult butterflies and moths sip flower nectar and other liquids to get food and water. The flowers near this cache will not provide butterflies with energy but they will help cachers locate a sweet find during their trip to the park.

Congratulations to jeromehasbargen for an in the dark FTF!

You may have noticed the icon indicating this cache has been placed in someones yard, with their permission. There is no need to go inside the fence. The dogs like to bark, especially if you bring your geodog, but they are quite friendly. Loud but friendly.
