andrewjwiley: I am working with the Ruritans to see if they have new staff that keeps removing the cache. Once I determine if we can hide it again without fear of removal, I will update this.

Geocache Description:

Easy to find cache in the midst of a historic civil war battlefield. Placed with permission of the building owner.

Fought in June, 1862, The Battle of Cross Keys was a decisive victory for the Confederacy on the heels of some losses to Union troops farther north. The building here, and one down the road, both served as hospitals to the many wounded soldiers. Some of the ones that did not make it lie in rest across the street.

**If you have a chance, go check out the cemetery. A dear friend and civil war buff, John Noftsinger is buried there. He was a vice provost at JMU and his sons were actively involved in scouts with my oldest boys.**

There is another cache nearby at the Mill Creek Church. You should check that out, as well as the Civil War marker there.

This is our first cache. We hope you enjoy it. We wanted to hide a decent sized container so you can put some trackables and swag in there.

Congrats to CrossCaveCrew on the FTF. That was fast!

FTF gets some money -- but you'll have a hard time spending it.
