Geocache Description:

Most letterboxes are not geocaches just like most geocaches are not letterboxes. For more about letterboxes that are not geocaches see letterboxing.org.

Bicycle is the best way to get here, and almost everywhere. Allergy alert: container is recycled peanut butter jar.

Letterbox hybrid. No swag. Please, do not try to remove the stamp. Bring your own pen. If you bring a logbook or an index card and an ink pad, you may ink the stamp and print the image in your log or on the index card. Then you may ink your finger, and put that image in the log that stays with the letterbox along with your name, date and notes. Decorate it if you want.

Letterboxers and some geocachers carry home-made signature stamps with them and will leave their images in the logbook.

Otherwise leave no trinkets and take nothing except an image of the letterbox stamp. Please don't take the stamp because that destroys the letterbox.

Please snag the letterbox and move back to the bench for signing in so the traffic along the trail doesn't get curious.

Please rehide in exactly the same spot and cover with gray stones.

Bike Tree the only shade all along the miles of the North Diversion Channel Recreational Trail. Water Authority personnel built the bench, fought for the jog in the trail, and preserved this refuge.

A four-wing saltbush has grown to cover the south edge of the large, dark rocks and the smooth, gray stones that hide the cache. What used to be an obvious hide is now difficult. And what used to be an easy walk across bare earth, has become an exercise in rock scrambling.

Oh, and bring a piece of fresh fruit with the sticky little label still on it. You'll know what to do when you see this spot.

Supplies suggested
1. Pen or pencil
2. inkpad
3. index card or logbook
4. Banana with sticky label still attached(Chiquita preferred)
