This cache is part of the GOLD COAST POWER TRAIL.

A joint initiative by a group of local Gold Coast cachers.

Each cache is themed on a critter indigenous to the Gold Coast.

Most of the containers are small golden cache tubes with a logbook only and should be easy to find.

However, each participating cacher has one hide which may be more difficult!

This cache is named after a native Gold Coast bird called the "
Eastern Brown Quail".

The Eastern Brown Quail (Coturnix Wemadeitup) is a small, timid ground dwelling bird that inhabits scrubland and sandy foreshores. Although rather dull and uninteresting in appearence, it is notable for it's unique ability to lay very large golden eggs; it makes no nest as such, preferring to lay in sandy hollows near trees and shrubs to provide cover.

You'll need a bit of luck and a lot of stealth to spot one of these critters.
