Geocache Description:

Another hidden gem within urban Swindon just waiting for you to discover and explore it!

Formally known as Bruddel Wood, its name is derived from blood well or flud well due to the site's poor drainage. The site was planted between 1763 and 1888 and is home to oak, ash and beech trees as well as seasonal bluebells.

A wide selection of birds have been heard and seen within these woods, including a tawny owl and a great spotted woodpecker, as well as red admiral butterflies.

This is our second placed cache so we hope you have lots of fun finding it. Upon placing it, it contained a log book with pencils, a disposable camera for visiting cachers to capture their visit for us (NOT for swapping please - this has now been filled and is off to be developed!), a First to Find prize, a couple of bits for you to swap things in with and two trackables: The Travel Slug and Canadian Micro Cacher Geo Coin.

Safe and happy caching!

This cache has been placed under the GAGB Urban cache guidelines.
