At the very fun Cape Mountain CITO event, I was the lucky winner of an authentic Kenny Art camouflaged cache container. Now it is time to use it. This beach is part of Ona Beach State Park and seemed like a place where the camo would blend in well. There is a parking area for a few cars very near the cache. It is a great beach for walking or building sandcastles. BYOP
11-20-13 - Oregon State Parks has decided to combine Ona Beach Park and Beaver Creek Natural Area into one park named, Brian Booth State Park. Brian Booth was the first chairman of the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission, established in 1990. He devoted a great deal of time and effort to improving and expanding our state parks. The first visible sign, literally, of this new park is the rather large sign that was just erected at the edge of this small parking area. We will have to watch and wait to see what other new things appear over the next few years.
