Geocache Description:

A series of caches set ready to download for A DAY OUT ON DUNKELD ESTATE (GC31DWZ) EVENT. Please be fair to others and do not search for until Sunday 25th September. Dogs welcome in the grounds, but due to the large amount of Deer on the estate, please keep dogs on a lead.

Probably part of the old terraced garden once on the estate, these giant steps are all that remain and it is hard to visualise what splendour they would have been. Keep an eye out here for the friendly deer to be found on the estate - the Roe and much larger Fallow, The Roe are normally seen singly or in pairs, with the male buck having short antlers. Both the buck and the female doe are grey/brown in winter and foxy red in summer. The Fallow deer are normally seen in small herds, their most distinctive feature being their nine-Inch long tails, which are black on top and white below. The colour of coat varies. On the Dunkeld Estate it is dark brown in winter and In summer changes to various shades of brown with chestnut and white spots.



PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO PARKING HERE, DO NOT PARK IN THE PASSING PLACE, THIS CAN BE A BUSY DRIVEWAY.
