Geocache Description:

A Geocaching Triathlon!
Come and join in on a different kind of Event!

When: Saturday, December 17, 2011
Where: Along the "Augusta Canal"
Time: 10:00AM - Until
Distance: 9.5 miles / 15Kilometers

Come and enjoy all the things we love to do while caching in one combined event.
We are walking/running
We are biking (hard packed dirt surface, and some minor light graveled areas)
We are paddling
And we are doing it all at one of our favorite playgrounds...

The Augusta Canal.

The posted coordinates will take you to the start of the event
The Historical "Sibley Mill and Confederate Powder Works Chimney".

Each participant is responsible for supplying their own equipment.
We will have the canal staged with volunteers to guard your personal equipment.
If you can't participate in the triathlon, maybe you would be interested in being a volunteer by helping behind the scenes.
We are in need of 8 to 12 volunteers to help at the stages and to haul athletes, bikes and kayaks.

ALSO, we understand if you can't do all the stages due to health reasons or
lack of equipment such as a bike or kayak.
We are also accepting Team Participants for this race. If you want to participate and you haven't a bike or kayak. You can sign up requesting to be member of a relay team.
For instance, you are not interested in doing Stage 1 or you haven't a bike to do Stage 2, you could sign up saying you're interested in kayaking with a Relay Team.

Relay Teams will consist of 3 people(one person per stage).
Teams are responsible for building their own members. Each person interested in being a Relay Member, must log who their team members are and what stage their participating in.

Refer to the Table below for Triathlon Stages.
