Dinosaurs Invade Winsted - Stegosaurus
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A recent crack in the Space Time Continuum has opened a portal back
to the Age of the Dinosaur!
This ‘tear’ thru time swept thru the Winsted area,
opening and closing and apparently long enough for some dinosaurs
to slip through and take home in our small town.
Your Mission is not to capture or destroy, but to study their
movements and habits.
A living record of these amazing creatures will be most beneficial
to the Paleontology World!
Intel has informed us that the final tear appeared here at the
Southwest corner of our town and that a Stegosaurus has taken home
here in what seems to be a luscious environment for this herbivore.
With tall grass and flowers growing all over and a narrow band of
woods, the Stegosaurus seems to be quite at home. He has been
spotted close to the road, but seems to stay within the confines of
this grassy area and the trees on the South side. The tall grass
also provides cover for you, stick to the trail and you will have
no problem observing this magnificent creature.
Follow this animal and document its behaviors and habits! Be
watchful, the Stegosaurus will defend itself if it feels
threatened. Its main offensive weapon is the Spiked Tail! Four
Spikes on this massive tail can easily stop a car in its tracks!
Stay your distance and the Stegosaurus will just go about his
business.
Study this creature and report back to me in your Log!
Photo’s of your adventure are most appreciated and will be
most beneficial to our Paleontologists.
Good Luck! And don’t get spiked!
