Geocache Description:


Au début du 19e siècle, l'Anjou comptait entre 200 et 300 moulins à chandelier ; deux seulement subsistent aujourd'hui, dont celui de Patouillet.

Moulin tout en bois, démontable et aisément transportable, son destin est celui de bon nombre de ses semblables qui furent souvent déménagés.
Erigé primitivement dans la commune de Gennes, en 1893 il fut racheté par Louis Martin, propriétaire du moulin à eau de Patouillet, et installé à proximité de ce dernier pour le suppléer lors des manques d'eau. Après vingt-sept ans de service, il cessa son activité en 1920. Il a été restauré et remis au vent en 1984.


Originally erected in the town of Genoa, in 1893 it was bought by Louis Martin, owner of the mill water Patouillet, and installed near the latter for the supply during water shortages.
After twenty-seven years of service, it folded in 1920. It was restored in 1984.
