Geocache Description:

Located in an abandoned area of Stockton Lake/Masters Recreation Area.

This cache can be accessed either by water or land. By water it is a short hike up the hill of 100 yards or so through some light brush. By land, although farther than by water you will find it to be a pleasant/easy walk of about 1/4 mile one way. It might be wheelchair accessible by land to within a few feet of the cache.

The cache is a small round container that has been Camoed Up with camo tape. It contains misc. small items with a pen and log book. Please sign the log book and return. Permission granted to place this cache.

****EDIT 5/22/2014

This cache is still in place, however, it is now close to a mile walk via land. The US Army Corps of Engineers ill advisably decided to close this camping/public use area in the spring of 2014 after spending thousands of dollars to upgrade the facility in the last couple of years. Thank you COE for building a project with OUR money then claiming we can't use it because you don't have enough of OUR money to service it even though WE own it. 'Merica.....2014

Back to topic, the walk to the cache is a very easy one, even though it's a little long. It will be worth your trip. Since all of the facilities are closed now to vehicle traffic and there's no camping/public use the wildlife has tamed down to some degree and it's likely you will encounter a whitetail deer, wild turkey, or even an armadillo. The Dillo's are plentiful.

Enjoy the cache!
