This is one in a series of caches that we are hoping to add more to as time allows. They will be placed around rural Herefordshire to introduce you to some of the delightful village churches. If you already live in the area you will no doubt know of some, if not all of these locations. The churches will either be in a lovely location or have an unusual or interesting fact to warrant a cache. The actual caches will not be in the church grounds but placed a short distance away.
The cache is in a small round tub.
St Michael & All Hallows Church, Eaton Bishop
This church is one of the gems of Herefordshire. Not only is it in a quiet and secluded part of the county it is also well maintained. It is practically certain that there was a stone church here before the Norman Conquest of 1066.
The inside of the church is well worth a visit and has magnificent stain glass windows.
There is available inside the church the usual guide pointing out all the interesting parts of the church plus an explanation of the various illustrations in the windows.
The above coordinates are for parking and the first question.
How old was (Scottie)? = AB
Cross the road to the newer part of the churchyard and find the answers to the following
What year did Frank Jones die ? = 19CD --- and what year did Lillie die? = 200E
Arthur Joseph Dance died 1981. How old was he in 1931? = FG
The cache is located on a footpath a short distance from the church at
N52 02.AB2 W002 CD.EFG
Congratulations to Jagfinder and Badger Babe FTF
