Placing a cache at the base of anything is a better hide than even in an LPC, Light Pole Cache. Kids don't have to reach too far and LPC's are usually in middle of everywhere. I have LPC caches and they are good for highlighting a place you may like. But if you have 50 caches and you have 40 LPC's it is a little much. But putting a rock, moss, sticks or whatever at the base of plant, landscape timbers, trees, grave stones (my fav) or signs is like scratching a lottery ticket! You reach, grab and pull then, Voila!, the next play, the cache, the opening device. Whatever it is "The Base of Something" caches are easy and fun.
