Geocache Description:

4th in a series of 4 caches to commemorate the Queens Diamond Jubilee. Situated within the Borough of Broxtowe, all 4 caches are located on designated Queen Elizabeth II Fields.

Hall Om Wong, Kimberley

This open space on the edge of Kimberley derives its unusual name from old English. It can be summarised as “Mr Hall’s home piece of land”. References date back to the 1700’s. The site is approximately 3 hectares in size and is designated as a Local Nature Reserve with a series of important areas of woodland around its edges. It also has a wildflower meadow and a small area of wetland.

In terms of leisure activity the extensive children’s play area and small concrete skate park are extremely popular. There is also a multi-use games area near the main entrance and a trim trail that provides opportunities for outdoor exercise around the perimeter of the site. There is no car parking on the site but there are a series of pedestrian entrance points with the main access form Eastwood Road. A main path runs through the centre of the site up a steep bank which is popular in the winter for sledging.

The cache is full of goodies:-
