A small lock and lock on a historic hill.
This cache is near the spot of a disabled cache that was on the wall of this wall/hill. I was sad to see it go, because when I found it, I thought that it was a great little cache hidden in a fun spot, but it was a bit dangerous. I've wondered these woods for almost 30 years and I think it was high time that a new cache was placed here.
Please don't climb the face of the wall. There are several less dangerous paths up the hill.
East of ground zero, you can see more evidence of Midlothian's mining history, including a capped and safe mine shaft. Be sure to hit all the other Midlothian Mine Park caches! This park is full of history.
