This cache is the 12th in the hidden treasure series.
Hopefully I will find more to share.
Great little waterfall that is only a short 100 yard walk from
parking. However it is fairly steep and can be quite treacherous if
slick from rain hence the 4.0 terrain rating. My 9 and 11 year olds
had no problem getting down to the waterfall.
This seldom seen waterfall is a definite must see. Only a few
minute steep walk from a small pulloff off the well maintained
forest service road. My kids enjoyed (with my help) getting right
up and behind these falls. You will get wet if you do this. You do
not need to get wet to get the cache though.
Satellite reception once you get downhill from the road is a bit
spotty, so make sure to take the hint with you. Have Fun!!!
Please re-hide cache well since this area does have a little muggle
traffic.
WORD OF CAUTION!! - Please use common sense and don't put yourself
in any unnecessary danger. Unfortunately too many people get hurt
each year at waterfalls similar to this one because they had to get
a little closer.
Congrats FTF - Ent of Spades
Small note: As required by the USFS for caches hidden in the
Chattahoochee National Forest the cache is prominently labeled as a
geocache and the label includes the GC33Y4F waypoint number and the
owner's e-mail address. Enjoy!
