Geocache Description:

History buffs will love this one...bet you would never know this was here if it weren't for your love of geocaching! *** a parking suggestion--park on Tall Timbers Road and make the short walk over ***

Bring a pen and be sure the cache is placed securely back where you found it!

What appears to be a parking spot to the right of the site is actually someone's driveway. Just pull in as close to the site as you can. (There is not a very clear distinction between the homeowner's property and the monument site.)

Research was hard to come by on just who Henry Baldwin was, other than what is listed on the plaque at the cache site (which was erected in 1938 by the Daughters of the American Revolution). He was an officer in the Revolutionary War and a charter member of the Society of the Cincinnati. This area has several buildings and other historical references to the name "Baldwin", as well.

If anyone has anything to add about H.B., please share!
