Geocache Description:

Mirreeulla is the Bunyip of Deerubbun! The story origins from ancient Aboriginal Dreamtime and lasts today in modern research. Up Snake Island off Mooney Mooney you will hold its treasure in your hands!

The Arkaroo, bunyip of the northern Flinders Ranges found its counterpart at this place, where the giant serpent, also called "Moolyewonk" and "Mirreeular" in Aboriginal languages lives and probably gave name of the place you are standing on: Snake Island! It has been seen more or less regularly over all historical periods to the present and is described with an elongated body, snake like neck and two pairs of flippers.

Snake Island lies a pleasant paddle or boat drive off picturesque Mooney Mooney. According to the change in tides, there may be strong currents and you wish to land in a sheltered place.

Carefully follow the posted warning signs of shallow water and abundant submerged rocks, which may not be visible in muddy water after heavy rain.
