Geocache Description:

Deerubbun is the Aboriginal name for this river. Australia's last riverboat postman operates here, a river service that delivers mail to properties which are often not accessible by road. Similar is valid for the present stash: You will need a boat or a river transport to get to this location, as it lies on the far north tip of Milson Island. A few meters up, and you will hold it in your hands!

Milson Island was first settled over 100 years ago and has been used as a mental hospital, a jail, and now a sports and recreation center. The facilities are located further south while the north tip shows regenerated bush in eucalyptus forest. If you look carefully, you may find overgrown remnants of previous modern settlement, such as brick walls and stairways.

By motor boat, it's only a short drive from the boat ramp of Mooney Mooney. So to say a park and grab.

Be careful: there may be broken glass where you land your boat, and cutting oyster shells.
