Please know that the Indiana reviewers have done everything in their power to keep as many caches as possible on IDNR lands and to make this transition as smooth as possible. They have worked long and hard with the IDNR to come up with a new policy that will work for most cache owners. We are very sorry for any inconvenience the implementation of this permit process may cause.

Geocache Description:

Cache is a clear ziploc container with screw on lid. Started with a log book, 2 TBs looking to move along we brought from FL, and some swag. Placed in Nevada Mills Dam area. Not in or right near dam.

This cache is located near the dam in Nevada Mills, this is where Jimmerson Lake empties into Fawn River. You can go down the channel and it will take you to Jimmerson backside by the public access. We have visited this area for years and currently dock our boat just down the channel a bit. Sometimes when we go out we will go for a dam swim before heading to the sand bar. They redid the dam a few years ago so it is much different but you used to be able to jump into the river from the top of the dam. Some still try the jump across the gap and into the lake. PLEASE DO NOT TRY IT!! You can park in the chruch lot if it is not busy or just off the road. It is not a busy area so there should be no problems usually a car or two will just pass on by. In warm times people do come to fish or swim so you might need some stealth there.
