The Lickin Leroy's Ice Cream Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

golfer89: I was in the area of this cache today. The nearby business/namesake appears to be not functional and the cache itself is once more missing. Time to let this one go!

Geocache Description:

Here is the history lesson:

Back in the 1800's this property used to be known as a flat iron where there were horse troughs so that the four legged friends could rest and get a drink before traveling on through the area.

The name of a nearby street used to be the location of the Miller farm that stretched all the way to the Chemung River. Now the streets that are further down Pennsylvania Ave were named after his sons (Fred, Albert, Frank, William). The original farm house was located on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Did you know that there was a Round House for the trains right where the Hiberians building is located? Can you just picture it! Very cool information that we found out by just talking to the owners of the property.

This place just needed to have a cache. Could be a cache and dash. Please use stealth as it has the potential for many muggles in the area. Bring your own pen!

First to Find prize- we will treat you to ice cream!

Permission was obtained from the owners of the property to set a cache here!

Congratulations to Loutilly for the FTF at 6:50 am!
