A multicache that will take you on a walk around the town of Broadway. Cache placed with permission of the town of Broadway. Parking at the posted coordinates is highly encouraged.
Stop #1 - N 38 36.783 W 078 47.927
Welcome to the town of Broadway, Virginia. The first stage will take you to the outside of the town offices in front of a plaque placed in honor of the veterans. Find the only written year on the plaque.

Stop #2 - N 38 36.842 W 078 47.934
This stop will take you to a local classic car restorer. Pause and check out the project of the day if it is outside. There are several other classics in the area. Here you are looking for a phone number on a white sign on the side of the building.

Take a seat on one of the benches as you reach the third stop. You are now outside of J&B's Country Store, also known as Benjamin Franklin. Inside you will find almost anything you need for the home. Locate the street address for this building located on the bricks between the door and the window.

Please be very careful as you cross the street for this next stop. There are no official crossing areas, but traffic is normally light enough to get across without any trouble. This stop will take you outside of the Broadway Presbyterian Church. Admire the stained glass windows as you approach the location. Here you will be looking for information about Edgar Branner. Find the dates of his service as the Minister of Music.

Again be careful crossing the street to this next stop. This stop will take you to Grandle Funeral Home. History of funerals at this location date back to the early 1890's when this spot was a cabinet shop with the making of coffins as a "hobby." When you get to this location, you will be looking for a small white highway sign showing the road you will now be walking down.

You will now be outside of the Broadway Baptist Church. Look for two cornerstones at this location, one for the new wing and one for the old wing.

Here you will be at the Post Office for Broadway, Virgina. Look for the large number above you that separates Broadway, VA from the rest of the country

You will now be outside of the Broadway Volunteer Fire Department. Look for the Company Number before proceeding to the next stop.

You are now at the final stop in your walkabout. You are now located outside of the old Broadway Library and future home of the Broadway Police Department. The new library is now located next to the Ben Franklin store you previously visited. The Library is a division of the Massanutten Regional Libraries. Look for the address on the front of the building to get your final number.

The final stage for this cache is either a short walk from this location, or you may get back in your car and drive to the final location parking area. This is a heavily traveled muggle location.
