This is one of a series of caches created for the "Check This Out Mate" event September 17, 2011. Be sure to look for the FTF card which can be redeemed for one Chess Themed Geocoin at the event, Please only one card per team. If you get several FTF's, please leave the card for the second to find.
Knights are the horse shaped pieces, and there are two of each color. These are very versatile and like real horses, can jump over pieces that would otherwise be a hurdle for less versatile pieces. The manner in which they move is quite exciting because they can be pulled into the game at a moment's notice and because of their versatility can often threaten two or more of the opponent's pieces. They move in an L shape, one square forward and two sideways or two squares forward and one sideways, but the crowning glory of these beasts is that they can be used in any direction on the board and can take any of the opponent's pieces except the King, though can indeed threaten the King and make the opponent move to another square. Each player has 2 knights.
You will be searching for a regular sized custom painted Chess Themed LnL.
