Geocache Description:

Cache point is near Kawagoe Sta of TobuTojyo-line,Honkawagoe Sta of SeibuShinjyuku-line.

Cache is hidden near Myouzenji temple.
Cache size is micro,so please bring a writting pen.

The sweet potato is a special product of Kawagoe.
The taste was said to be more delicious than a chestnut.
In this temple,there is "Sweet potato Jizo" enshrining a sweet potato.

東武東上線川越駅、西武新宿線本川越駅が最寄り駅となります。

妙善寺近くキャッシュはあります。
マイクロサイズですので、筆記用具持参でお願いいたします。

さつまいもは川越の特産品で、その味は栗よりもうまい、という商い言葉もありました。
こちらの妙善寺にはさつまいもを供養する「いも地蔵」が建立されています。

江戸日本橋から川越までの距離（一つの説です）をかけてさつまいもを表した言葉があります。
「栗よりうまい十三里」という言葉は、発音が「栗」＝「九里」「より＝四里」であることにかけた洒

落言葉（売り言葉）です。
