An event, for the Yorkshire area but open to all. A decent pub, just off the M1.
Location = The Old Post Office, S75 4DE.
Date = Saturday 29th of October.
Time = 12 noon to 6pm.
Just off the M1 junction 38, the same junction for Yorkshire Sculpture Park. A nice pub thats been re-furbished and opened up as a Steak House which has long waiting lists for a table. We have use of the downstairs, a little less formal area with a great childrens play area and hoping the gods give us lots of sunshine a lovely outside eating area too. Children and dogs are welcome but dogs obviously under control. If the heavens open we are allowed in the sunlounged area. We will be shareing this area with the general public.
There is food available and if you go and have a look at their website you can see what they do. They are not the cheapest, but I can recommend the food, they do sandwiches and paninis with chips, etc.
If you do fancy having something a bit special then you will need to call the pub and book 2 weeks in advance.
A chance for us all to meet up and have chats about Geocaching. We can trade trackables too.
Halloween is only 2 days after so it will be loosely themed and there will be some goody bags for the children. And I hope to put a fun quiz together with a prize for the cleverest cachers.
The area is not heaving with caches, but there are some series not too far away. We hope to try to pop a few out nearer the time and if anyone would like to organise a series that would be greatly appreciated.
Please let me know how many are going to be in your party and if you will be wanting food so that I can give the pub an idea of numbers.
Also how many children, so I get enough goody bags.
