Geocache Description:

This micro cache is located near the Mount Cuba Road crossing of the Wilmington & Western Railroad, and the Red Clay Creek. The cache can be found without having to get wet or climbing under the bridge.

Mount Cuba Road winds over the hills and along the banks of the Red Clay Creek. At this location, the road crosses both the Wilmington & Western Railroad and Red Clay Creek within feet of each other.

This is a nice spot to stop and watch the passing train as it heads north towards Mount Cuba. Check out the train schedule for runs during the weekend afternoons and the evenings. (www.wwrr.com) Time it just right, and you can view the train appear out of the dark on a quiet, peaceful night for a unique experience.

You can park safely near the rail crossing on a small gravel spot. Ensure you provide sufficient clearance between your vehicle and any passing train.

There is no need to go on private property. Cache can be found from the road right-of-way.

Congratulations to Iloveoutdoors for FTF; and g’daycutter for STF !!
