Although the artwork is gone; this is still an awesome little tour of downtown Milford.

Consider life on a farm—all of the hard work and sweat that goes into cultivating the land. Now look at this image of two farm girls collecting nuts. Notice their glowing faces and spotlessly clean bare feet. The artist Adolphe-William Bougereau, who is best known for impeccable, photo-like paintings, presents an idealized vision of rural life.

This is a very easy six-stage tour of Milford. It covers three city blocks and highlights several nice little spots along the way. Each stage will replace a letter in the coordinates of the final location.

N42.35.458, W083.36.028 Stage A—An owl says…
Look under the sound an owl makes but over the door. Add the first (2) numbers in the address together.

N42.35.436, W083.36.026 Stage B—Squirrels go nuts…
Look for Friday’s closing time at a place where squirrels would love to eat.

N42.35.373, W083.36.023 Stage C—Alpha and Omega…
On the side of the building you will need to count the number of parking meter heads (not just the poles) from the corner to the railroad tracks.

Here in the park, count the purple chickens perched in the gazebo.

Count the number of windows in the top row on the north side of the building.

Count the number of letters in the last word of the sign.

If you really know Milford you might not need the coordinates. For all those that don't, the title for each stage will definitely help. Now have fun and enjoy the Milford downtown area.
