Wide spot in the road for parking. Cache is up hill, no trail.
Cache placed during our annual Kelly Creek woman's fly fishing weekend! Last year near this spot on the other side of the river we saw an osprey hanging upside down in a tree. He had become entangled in some discarded fishing line. He was still alive, but there was no way we could reach him. Two days later he was dead. Very sad. He probably caught a fish that had a hook and leader attached? This year we became entangled in probably 100 yards of discarded leader while checking on our cache; Death Creek. We also picked up discarded line at several locations along the river. Help prevent this from happening again by picking up all your trash while out in NATURE! Kelly Creek and The North Fork of the Clearwater River are some of the most beautiful areas in the lower 48. CITO!!!!
