The Preston Twins Traditional Cache
Orlando's Rat: After the item the cache was attached to has disappeared plus one of the twins being damaged I have decided to close this cache down.
Thank you to everyone who visited and to BrightonRob for placing the cache in the first place.

I have adopted this geocache from brightonrob, who has (regretfully) now moved away from the area. Hopefully I can fulfill his trust in allowing me to take on some of his caches.
A cache to celebrate the two oldest elm trees in Britain.
35mm pot, no pen. Not accessible from A23, park up Preston Drove in car park opposite end of Surrenden Road or in Preston Drove itself.
The twins are a pair of four hundred-year-old english elms. Before dutch elm disease, the elm was a common sight across England but now Brighton, thanks in part to the Downs and in part to the wonderful work of the Brighton and Hove parks dept., is the only place in this country where you can see them.
Brighton has several thousand elms and most of the large trees in Preston Park are elm. But despite everything they are still dying so enjoy them whilst you may...there are disease-resistant varieties being planted but there will come a time when no mature trees will be around.
So...bring your children and grandchildren to see and touch that they might say to their own children and grandchildren...I remember the elms of Brighton!
November 2014
I have changed the location of the cache due to it disappearing quickly. So you are now looking for a magnetic nano.
