This is a reguler sized lock&lock with a FTF prize and tradable items. Coordinates were jumpy today here so I am giving a good hint. I hope you enjoy the series.
This series was placed to tell the history, show the beauty, as well as to break up the trip along Highway 4 going to the West Coast. All of the caches are placed on the right hand side of the road, so you do not have to cross the highway, as you head west towards Tofino/Ucluelet. The caches are well off the road and there are safe pullouts at each location. Please give drivers behind you plenty of notice when you are getting close to turning off the highway. There is also plenty of visibility for when you are pulling back out on the road. The entire road to the West Coast is bear and cougar country so please by vigilant.
I chose this spot because this is where the old highway came down off the hill side, crossed over the new highway and went back down to the lake. I am not sure just how far you can go along the old road now up to the ridge, possible washouts. I do know that there used to be 2 old bridges that are up along the ridge that are now no longer there. The road going down to the lake is now not recommended for cars due to really rough road from where the water has washed away the top away and left big rocks. This area is more accessible from just a little way further down the highway.
Congratulations to Team Pawz and DIOS on the FTF
