Note: Details changed 9/11/2009 - There is a new lookout tower
being built, albeit only a few steps high. This is your first
point. While you can still go to the open cut overview, there are
no clues there now. The cache has been moved out of TRU energy land
to near its original position.
Victoria's power generation heartland beckons. This multi-cache
takes in some breathtaking views of power stations, industrial
towns and open-cut mines. It's really not half as bad as it sounds!
You can walk around it or drive (everywhere is within about
1km).
First, drive to the lookout at:
S 38° 11.106 / E 146° 19.384
It used to be a lookout tower, but in the age of litigation, now
it's just a little platform but still a reasonable view. The year
it was built = ABCD
The number of letters in the name of the lookout = EF
The number of words in the name of the lookout = G
(both including the word "lookout")
The number of the gate to the big fire lookout tower = HIJ
The cache is hidden at: S 38 10.DG(I+J-H) E 146 ED.G(A*2)I
And you can easily see the location from the lookout.
The cache is in a round clear container covered by leaf
litter.
