This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Tuesday morning I went to another surgeon to evaluate the bite and the wound. The gauze was removed (This wasn't fun at all). The doctor said the bite area looked a lot better, and that it was important for me to wash the area several times a day with hydrogen peroxide and to take all of the antibiotic medication. We talked about the bite and my experience with it. He told me what to watch our for in terms of swelling and drainage. It was a quick visit, and then I was off to school.

Later today I spoke with one of the ER doctors who called last week. He had the lab results back from my visits to the ER and he confirmed the MSRA infection. Although this is a serious infection, it seemed to be responding well to the antibiotics I was taking. He did not feel I needed to do anything else as long as I continued to take all of the medication and used hydrogen peroxide on the bite area several times a day.

I've inlcuded a few pictures of my experience on the "Brown Recluse Spider Bite Experience:Tue-09-13-11" GC349F7 cache page. Since some people may not appreciate them (they are a little gross) they are part of the gallery rather than being displayed on the main cache page. Ive added a few notes to them as well!

The container used in this series of caches are the actual containers my medications came in. I hope you have enjoyed the series!
