Welcome back to ‘Gator Alley! This 1/2 mile walk in Daphne is a fun and easy way to view alligators, fish, and other wildlife. The D’Olive boardwalk winds under bridges and up hills to showcase a well known and well maintained area. There are plenty of park benches, picnic tables, and nearby garbage cans to aid in a great family outing or luncheon.
Walking to the cache itself is scenic and quite easy since the boardwalk will take you very close. You will have to deviate off the path briefly, but not for very long to locate this hide. Beware of muggles! This area will be full of them on sunny afternoons, especially on the weekends. Many do not walk the entire ½ mile, so you may be able to escape them after walking for a while. Also watch for thorns near the cache itself! Although the boardwalk is maintained, parts are fenced and sometimes thorns or brush grow through the fence.
The best entrance to enjoy this cache is located off of North Main Street near the Exxon gas station. Plenty of parking is usually available. This area is open and free to the public from sunrise to sundown.
You will be looking for a hide-a-key container. I have placed a surprise inside the cache for FTF. Enjoy!
***This cache replaces GC2QHK7, but it is in a different area.***
